The Best Street Festival on the Peninsula is Back!
Presented by the San Mateo Area Chamber of Commerce, Downtown San Mateo Association, & County of San Mateo Office of Arts and Culture. Join us in the heart of Downtown San Mateo for a day-long celebration of art, music, dance, food, and culture! From live bands and dazzling cultural performances to interactive kids’ activities, mural competitions, and handcrafted artist booths, the September Arts & Culture Fest has something for everyone — and it’s completely FREE to attend.

Mural Madness
Watch local artists bring blank canvases to life in a live mural competition throughout the day! Visitors can vote for their favorites as artists compete for the chance to have their work featured in Downtown San Mateo.

Booths 40+ local artists and makers will be showcasing painting, photography, jewelry, textiles, and more. Plus be inspired by local poets at Chill Spot Rendezvous.
