Leadership Program – Class of 2020

Look for Applications at http://www.leadershipprogram.net in Early February!

Ever wonder what it’s like to walk in a police officer’s shoes, arriving on scene and having to make quick life-or-death decisions? Are you aware that StarVista, one of our county’s most comprehensive human service agencies, runs a “First Chance Sobering Station” for first-time DUI offenders? Did you know that about 40% of high school graduates in San Mateo County attend our amazing community colleges, and that incarcerated people at the Maple Street Correctional Center have access to vocational programs taught by experts?

For one full Friday a month, you can learn more about the amazing resources in our county, and how your business fits into the larger county context. You’ll learn how our public, private, and non-profit agencies and organizations collaborate in remarkable ways to serve San Mateo County residents, and meet the incredible elected officials, city managers, police chiefs, and CEOs behind the scenes. Program Days include field trips to local schools, San Mateo Community College, local human services agencies, businesses, and the Bay Meadows housing development.

Visit www.leadershipprogram.net in early February to apply to Leadership San Mateo, Foster City, Burlingame, Hillsborough, a program of the San Mateo Area Chamber of Commerce with support from the Cities of San Mateo, Foster City, Burlingame, and Hillsborough. It’s a great way to grow the visibility of your business!
